OUR STORY
CHAPTER ONE
Where else would we start, other than with the man himself, Reg Taylor. Who in 1946, began our family story growing and selling rose trees on a market stall in Nottingham. Reg quickly made a name for himself in the horticulture space as he saw success at many shows and he turned a vision and love for industry into his every day life.
CHAPTER TWO
The story doesn't stop there. The second generation of Taylor, Richard, helped take the journey on. Opening and operating a nursery for many years, Richard had a vision. Filling barrows with plants and other nursery stock, he would sit at the gates of the nursery selling to passers-by. It was only a matter of time until word spread and local demand picked up.
CHAPTER THREE
Reg passed away in 1988 but with great joy to see his nusery business grow with the help of his son and from 1982 his three grandchildren, Paul, Mark and Helen. The third generation of the Taylor’s took upon the common goal to continue Reg’s legacy and have helped create the well-established Reg Taylor’s Garden Centre and Swan Sanctuary that still stands today.
CHAPTER FOUR
